Persaria (GB)
Persaria (GB)
2018 filly by Equiano (Fr) ex Persario (GB) (Bishop Of Cashel (GB))
Persaria is one of the best-bred fillies we have ever had in Hot To Trot, as she is a full-sister to Equiano’s best horse The Tin Man, a three-time Group 1 winner. She is also a half-sister to another top sprinter in the shape of Deacon Blues. Equiano himself was a dual King’s Stand winner in his day whilst, at stud, he has been a consistent source of classy sprinters including the likes of Belvoir Bay and Strath Burn. Persaria has always shown plenty at home, and was a work in progress last season. She is from a family that tend to improve with age so she should give us some fun on the track this year.

Trainer
James has become one of the most familiar and respected figures on British racecourses over the years with endless top class horses that include the five time Group 1 winner Soviet Song, the Champion Hurdle winner Hors La Loi III and of course recently (and relevantly!) the three-time winning Group 1 winner The Tin Man. James ended last season on a high when his first Breeders Cup runner Audarya won the Filly and Mare turf at Keeneland. James and his wife Jacko are based at the historic Pegasus Stables in Newmarket, built by Fred Archer back in 1994.
