Roseberry Topping starts the new season on a high

 In Uncategorized

A winning seasonal and handicap debut for Roseberry Topping! This three year old filly showed promise last season and did well physically over the winter, and so hopes were high that she could take advantage of a fair looking handicap mark at Wolverhampton yesterday. There is plenty of speed in this family; she is by the Group 1 sprint sire Mayson and she is a half-sister to a very fast horse in Overdose, and she showed that speed when quickening away from the field nicely to win cosily. She won in fine style suggesting there is more to come from this likeable filly this season – one to get excited about!

Congratulations to all the members of Hot To Trot 1, trainer Andrew Balding and his team, and jockey David Probert. Thanks should also go to Hetta Stevens who pre-trained this filly until six weeks ago – a team effort!
