New flat teams for 2021 unveiled
It is with great excitement that we can announce the horses that will be making up our two flat teams for 2021. We seem to say it year on year, but this really is the best bred bunch of newcomers we have ever had to race!
In Hot To Trot 1, returning from last year is the extremely well bred Persaria, the very promising unraced filly Daisy Warwick, and lovely Roman Mist who was a late addition to the team towards the end of last season. New for this year are three very exciting fillies; a full sister to 2020 Mill Reef winner Alkumait, a Galileo Gold half-sister to the Breeders Cup 3rd Ubettabelieveit, and finally an Aclaim filly to go to Martyn Meade, who trained both her sire and her dam.
In 2Hot To Trot, we have Mille Miglia who will have come on from her winter break after being trained patiently last year and One Small Step, who won nicely second time out and was very progressive throughout the year. Joining these two are four new fillies, each with an outstanding pedigree. We have an Acclamation filly out of the Listed winner Buying Trouble, a Charming Thought filly out of the granddam of Kachy, a Showcasing sister to Pastoral Player and Chil the Kite, and last but certainly not least, we are thrilled to have another full sister to The Tin Man (sister to Persaria in Hot To Trot 1) to race this season.
I’m sure you will agree that this is an outstanding selection of pedigrees balanced over both groups, and we really can’t wait to see them in training and on the track. In addition to yard visits, we have organised an exciting programme of events to be enjoyed by our members, including virtual events for the next couple of months and plenty of days out later in the year to look forward to. Membership is an all-inclusive £2,095 for the year and is capped at 80 members per group.
