Andrew started his training career with a bang back in 2003 when Casual Look landed the Oaks. Globetrotting star Phoenix Reach followed soon afterwards and Andrew has never looked back, with Group 1 winners aplenty, most recently with Alcohol Free winning the Cheveley Park. His wife Anna-Lisa and himself are based at Kingsclere which is steeped in tradition. Indeed horses have been trained at this magnificent venue since the mid-nineteenth century, when it was occupied by the great John Porter. More recently, Mill Reef, one of the best horses of all time, was trained here by Andrew’s father Ian back in the early 1970’s.
