Hollygrove Cha Cha (IRE)
2020 Bay filly by Affinisea ex Hollygrove Rumba (Indian Danehill)
Hollygrove Cha Cha is a very exciting four-year-old filly by the hot young sire Affinisea. She is out of Hollygrove Rhumba, a half-sister to the very talented but ill-fated Grade 1 winner Captain Cutter and the useful Gowel Road.
Our filly was a mid-season addition to our team last year, and she got off to a memorable start when winning her debut bumper impressively at Stratford in March. She followed this up with a second win at Hexham in April when carrying a penalty – no mean feat – and she looks to have a great deal of ability. She is a big, scopey filly who we hope will do nothing but improve with time and so she is a seriously exciting prospect for the syndicate! She is likely to go Novice Hurdling this autumn, with mares chasing being the long-term goal.
