Extra Cover (GB)
Extra Cover (GB)
2019 Bay filly by Jack Hobbs ex Rosita Bay (Hernando)
Extra Cover is an attractive five-year-old filly by the Derby runner up and Irish Derby winner Jack Hobbs. She is out of dual bumper and hurdle winner Rosita Bay who is herself out of a very good race mare in Lemon’s Mill, winner of the Mersey Novices Hurdle (Grade 2) at Aintree and runner up in the Supreme Novices (Grade 1) at Cheltenham. Rosita Bay is the dam of three-time winner Storming Strumpet and most significantly the much-loved multiple Grade 1 winning stayer Thyme Hill.
Extra Cover gained experience in a bumper and two novice hurdles last season without pulling up any trees. She has done really well physically over the summer and should make her mark in mares handicap hurdles this winter.
