The National Hunt season beckons…

 In Latest News

As September comes around, we start to look ahead to the upcoming jumps season. Our team of horses to race for Hot To Trot Jumping this season are an exciting bunch and we can’t wait to get started! Our first stable visit of the new term is in just a couple of weeks, and spaces in the syndicate are starting to fill up fast.

The Jumps horses are all back in training now, and the Hot To Trot team for the season is led by Hollygrove Cha Cha, an extremely exciting prospect as she embarks on her Novice Hurdle career. She has allowed us all to dream over the summer and she could take the Members to some big days!

Hollygrove Cha Cha remains unbeaten, winning her second bumper when carrying a penalty up at Hexham

The admirable mare Molto Bene has been given a wind operation recently and will be looking to add further wins to her name when the ground goes soft in the winter months. She is a very tough and likeable little horse who will always be trying her hardest. Extra Cover will receive a handicap mark after her next run, and should be seen to good effect in that company this autumn, and Of Course You Can is another who we hope can get her head in front in that sphere before the winter sets in.

New to the team this year are two nice young fillies to be trained by two talented young trainers! Kingston’s Lia is a very athletic four-year-old filly in training with Toby Lawes in Surrey, and she looks the type to run in bumpers before the end of the year. Also bound for bumpers will be Hyperbole, who replaces Oakley Dancer in Olly Murphy’s Warwickshire yard. She is a beautifully bred granddaughter of the great Liberthine leased to us by Robert Waley Cohen, and we are greatly looking forward to seeing what she can do!

The events calendar has recently been finalised and we are delighted with what we have in store for our Members this year! We will be heading back to the home of Jumps Racing for another picnic on Countryside Day at Cheltenham, this year with the added fun of travelling there by steam train… We will also be present for the return of Jumps racing at Windsor which will be a historic day, and we finish the season with a tour of Yorton Stud followed by a course walk at Aintree during Grand National Week. Members will also enjoy the complimentary Annual Jumps Lunch at Sandown – all in all, a lot of fun to be had over the next six months!

As always, everyone involved will receive top class communication regarding all of the horses, badges when we have a runner, regular stable visits (always free to attend) and their pro-rata share of prize money won by the horses. The cost for the season is an all-inclusive £2350 and we have some spaces remaining in the syndicate – please get in touch (through the contact form here or by emailing racing@hottotrotracing.com) to find out more or to reserve your spot.

Bring on the National Hunt season proper!
