Heptathlete wins at Chantilly!

Heptathlete gave HTT members their first winner of 2018 and first ever outside the UK, when winning a 6 1/2 furlong claimer at Chantilly yesterday. Heptathlete showed a superb attitude up the straight to fend off all comers and was given a brilliant ride by Theo Bachelot. A clever piece of race planning by George Baker and we were rewarded with €13,500 in net prizemoney. Unfortunately, she was claimed afterwards for €34,000 which is a slight shame but we knew the risk beforehand and it was an excellent price for her breeder, James Read. This obviously leaves a void in our 2018 team but Luke/I will be on the case to seek a late replacement for the season ahead. Well done to all!
