Dreamrocker (IRE)

Dreamrocker is a beautifully bred filly, by Fastnet Rock and out of the Teofilo mare Livia’s Dream. Fastnet Rock is a top Australian stallion who has sired the likes of Via Sistina, the Group 1 Pretty Polly winner of last season, in the Northern Hemisphere too. Livia’s Dream was a decent filly on the racecourse, winning a Listed race for Ed Walker before going on to produce the outstanding Dreamloper, winner of two Group 1’s for the same trainer who also trains this filly.

Dreamrocker was given plenty of time to mature, as most of her family have needed, before winning second time out in impressive style at Salisbury. She has both the pedigree and the physique to suggest that there is further improvement to come with time, and so she is a very smart prospect for us in 2024. She is leased from Mrs Olivia Hoare.

Ed has trained nearly 500 winners and has had a Stakes winner every year since taking out his licence. The quality of his string has gradually improved over the years, and he has gained a reputation for being a talented and patient handler. Ed loves to travel his horses and has trained Stakes winners in France, Germany and Australia as well as gaining some important black type with fillies in North America.

2021 was a hard season to follow (with Group 1 winner Starman) but 2022 was another hugely successful one for Ed, with the wonderful Dreamloper (half-sister to our filly) winning the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes, the Group 1 Prix D’Ispahan and the Group 1 Prix De Moulin.
